We’re delighted to be supporting Communities for Work+ and Working Wales by providing the currently vacant unit situated by Iceland every Wednesday until the 22nd December. Both organisations will be working in partnership to provide the Port Talbot community with a place to come and discuss employment opportunities.
The first recruitment event will commence on 1st December and will run from 10 am – 2 pm at Unit 11A (opposite JD Sports). The shopfront has lots of Communities for Work+ and Working Wales signage on display, so, it is easy to spot. The opening event will see Newport based recruitment specialists Acorn and Tata Steel Security in attendance, as well as possible visits from various retailers here at the centre.
The Communities for Work+ program is run by Neath Port Talbot Council. It is a community based advisory service working to increase the employability of individuals who are not in employment, education or training and who may face complex barriers to employment. Communities for work can provide support to help to build your confidence, gain some work experience, learn new skills or re-write your CV.
Working Wales is delivered by Careers Wales and funded by the Welsh Government and the European Social Fund. It is also here to support you through these changing times with free advice, guidance and access to training to help you get into work or further your career.
Both organisations offer free careers advice, guidance and coaching as well as employability support to anyone who is looking for work.
