The NPT Armed Forces Festival Day

Aberafan Shopping Centre is proud to host the NPT Armed Forces Festival Day on Saturday 24th October 2026.

Taking place in the ‘Garden of Remembrance’, the event will run between 10.30am and 3pm. The programme will include:

• Flag raising and dedication
• Military-themed entertainment
• Historic vehicles
• Stands & Stalls
• Presentation of awards for NPT Art of Armed Forces and Art of Being a Military Child school competitions

The event will also mark the launch of the annual Poppy Appeal. Members of the Royal British Legion will be in-centre from Saturday 24th October until Saturday 7th November with their annual fundraising, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase a poppy and make a donation to this worthy cause.
