Gold Medal Success

We are incredibly proud to announce that Aberafan Shopping Centre has received further international environmental recognition by being awarded a Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards, presented during the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on 31 July 2026.

This prestigious accolade recognises our ongoing carbon reduction initiatives, which continue to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable property management and environmental responsibility.

The Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards are an international awards programme organised by The Green Organisation in partnership with the Global Diaspora Village. Run alongside the Commonwealth Games, the awards celebrate organisations from all 56 Commonwealth nations that demonstrate outstanding environmental excellence and leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

This latest achievement is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, our contractors, tenants, and partners who continue to support our sustainability journey. Together, we are proving that meaningful environmental improvements can go hand in hand with creating vibrant, successful community spaces.
