We are delighted to announce that Aberafan Shopping Centre has won an International Green Apple Environment Award for the third consecutive year!

Our Aberafan ESG Wildlife Garden 2026 has been recognised in the Property & Estate Management – Environmental Improvement sector at The International Green Apple Environment Awards 2026.

Turning waste into something wonderful

The Wildlife Garden was created using recycled and repurposed materials recovered from our waste and recycling streams, transforming items that might otherwise have been discarded into a welcoming green space.

The garden provides a safe and relaxing environment for our tenants and staff, while also encouraging wildlife, biodiversity, and nature within an urban shopping-centre environment.

Receiving this award for the third-year running is fantastic recognition of Aberafan's continuing commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainability, innovation, and best practice.

The award will be presented at the House of Lords, Houses of Parliament, Palace of Westminster, London, on Monday 23 November 2026.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make the Wildlife Garden such a special project.
