On the morning on 20th June, we had the pleasure of visiting Llys y Seren Care Home in Port Talbot to deliver a selection of Summer Fête raffle prizes, kindly donated by some of our generous tenants at Aberafan Shopping Centre.
This lovely collaboration came about following a chance meeting during our VE 80 celebrations, where we had the honour of welcoming and integrating one of Llys y Seren’s residents — a proud RAF veteran — into our community event.
That special moment sparked a meaningful connection between our two communities, and we’re truly grateful for the opportunity to support one another.
A heartfelt thank you to Care Home Manager Lisa and Engagement and Enablement Co-Ordinator Selomy, for the warm welcome, guided tour of the residence, and most importantly, the honour of meeting your incredible residents.
We look forward to continuing this growing partnership and sharing more moments of connection between our communities.
