What a joy to see “Sorted” — a brilliant short film and advert made possible through our Arts Hub at Aberafan Shopping Centre — come to life on the big screen.
This charming story follows Jean and Manon, a courting couple who have a bit of a row, leading Jean to the San Portablo Store. Will the young lovers get it sorted?
Chris and Julia from Aberafan were absolutely delighted to be invited to the premiere at the Portablo Art Centre, right here in our very own West Mall.
Huge congratulations to first-time director Morgan Woolcock, who pulled this off with flair and creativity, and to Helen John for her vision, drive, and tireless energy in bringing community arts projects like this to life.
A special mention also to Nigel Hunt, our star tenant and now star actor. It’s fantastic to see his streetwear brand continue to grow alongside his new on-screen talents.
This film was made on a shoestring budget, but with a big heart and plenty of fun. It’s a brilliant example of what community, creativity, and collaboration can achieve.
