The Viva Port Talbot Christmas Parade and celebrations on Saturday 25th November were a resounding success, with people lining the streets and taking part in festive crafts, dancing and community group activities, enjoying live music, Christmassy market stalls and children’s entertainment.
A highlight for many families and lots of ‘little ones’ was when Santa opened his grotto at Aberafan Shopping Centre at the end of the parade. Hugely anticipated and with queues forming from the start, people were not disappointed! Santa’s Magical Mishap, the 2023 creation, is probably the best grotto in Wales!
Santa has had a mishap, leaving the whole place looking upended. The magic of children can sort the seasonal chaos though…
You can get down to the grotto to survey the scene, solve the mishap, and meet Santa between now and Christmas Eve. Tickets are just £5 each to include a personal meet and greet with Santa, and a gift. To find out more, click here
Reviewing the Christmas Parade and grotto build, Chris Morgan MBE, Aberafan Shopping Centre Manager said: “we pride ourselves on providing a grotto each year that surpasses expectation and brings excitement, joy, and a festive feel to the town.
