Santa's Sparkling Lake

Our family is looking lost and are stuck in a rut on the way to Lapland but, fear not, a twinkling light is shining ahead…

An angelic vision of a sparkling lake amidst ice and snow brings a glow to our faces as we spy the fabulous festive scene before us. It can only be the renowned Santa’s Grotto in Port Talbot, situated in the beating heart of Aberafan Shopping Centre!

Who needs Lapland, when Aberafan is the place to be this festive season! Santa’s Sparkling Lake and Grotto* will entertain us between 22^nd November and 24^th December 2025.  Santa is in-centre at the end of the Port Talbot Christmas Parade on 22^nd November, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until 20th December, then Sunday 21st to Wednesday 24th December inclusive.  

Simply pay £6 per person contactless on the day to enjoy a meet & greet with Santa in his amazing grotto. You’ll also receive a gift. The grotto will open from 10am to 1pm; 2pm to 5pm on all days EXCEPT 24^th December when it will close at 4pm.
