Aberafan Shopping Centre is proud to present The Richard Burton 100 Exhibition. This amazing, major showcase celebrates the legacy of legendary Welsh actor, Richard Burton, whose work on stage and screen made him a global icon.
Explore the incredible journey and dazzling story of how Richard Jenkins, a boy from Pontrhydyfen, became a cinematic titan lovingly known as Richard Burton, in what would have been his centenary year.
Including materials from the collections at Swansea University, originally created in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru National Museum Wales, a curated collection of memorabilia, artifacts, personal items, and photographs, this captivating exhibition should evoke memories, create excitement, and highlight the plethora of films in which Richard Burton starred.
The Richard Burton 100 Exhibition will run between 7th July and 14th November 2025. It promises to be a fitting tribute to one of Wales’ most celebrated cultural figures, brought to you in the heart of Port Talbot.
